Our Asphalt Plant located in Frederick County, Maryland has been in business for decades and enjoys a solid reputation for high quality asphalt products.

Pleasants Paving employs a wide spectrum of in house employees. Our fleet is one of the largest in Maryland and includes scores of trucks and equipment. Our facility has the proven capabilities to produce high quality asphalt. We have an on-site Quality Control Lab that is AMRL accredited, and we monitor the quality of our materials daily.

Regardless if your job is big or small, Pleasants Paving has the capacity, employees and all equipment necessary to complete your job on time, on budget and to the specifications required.

Company History

Pleasants Paving was established in 2013 to take over the operations of Richard F. Kline, Inc. Pleasants Paving operates on a campus of approximately 10 acres ideally located in Frederick, Maryland.

Pleasants Construction, Inc. was founded by William D. Pleasants, Jr. to continue the operations of the Company founded by his father, William D. Pleasants, Sr. Pleasants Construction, Inc. and its predecessor Pleasants Excavating have been providing superior site development solutions to the greater Washington Metropolitan area since 1964.

Site development and asphalt go hand in hand. The marriage of a high-quality hot mix asphalt facility and a site development company that has earned a reputation for excellence creates many new opportunities for us to serve our valued customers.
